Recently I tried to log on to guild wars, and a message popped up, saying something like "We have detected that your account has been accessed by an unauthorized individual" and it won't let me log in until this problem is solved or until I talk to support. I haven't downloaded anything, nor have I been on any untrusted websites.

How long would investigating this problem take?
Where do I go to talk to support?

My account got hacked once. I actually caught the hacker in the act, because we kept changing the password and kicking each other off. Anet didn't actually pick it up until I notified them about it. Once I opened a ticket it took about a week to get my account back. Bummer about that though, I hope you don't lose too much.

There is now a resource that is available to restore your account to a pre-hacked state. You just need to contact support about it. I had mine restored just after halloween last year as I was hacked also. Was VERY relieving.

Usually the unauthorised message happens when a big change of ip - possibly a change in country.Eg - your normal ip was say 123.456.7.8 and was say france and mr hacker logged in with say 987.654.4.2 which say was china - the change of ip and its location would i believe start sounding alarm bells.

Soon as you post a ticked to support - it may take a few days or at most id say 2 weeks.Just remember that support has a possible heavy workload due to accounts being hacked/returning players who have forgotten login details etc.So when support is contacted dont worry if its a few days - they will get back to you.
